Pressureless Sintering Silicon Carbide Products (S-SiC)
SSiC ceramic was made from ultra-fine and high purity SiC powder with a small quantity of sintering aids. Under inert gas or vacuum atmosphere of barometric pressure, the materials were sintering under high temperature (1950~2100℃), the ceramic products which with the features of excellent mechanical properties (smooth, wear-resistant, etc.) and chemical properties (stable, high corrosion resistance, etc.), were almost completely dense. Be different to SiSiC, SSiC ceramics do not contain free silicon and metal adhesives which are easily to corrosion, and as it was formed by uniform and dense SiC, thus it has achieved superior performance in strong acid and alkali environment. On sliding interface of SSiC sealing article, independent and discontinuous spherical pores(50±μm) can be used as fluid or storage of lubricants on the surface of sliding elements. It can improve the performance of sliding interface to keep the fluid film bearing, which promote the friction performance of SSiC products.
Excellent corrosion resistance and superior frictional advantages make SSiC to be a wise choice of application in industrial sealing surface. SSiC can be applied in the field of chemical processing, waste water, petroleum refining, paper and pulp, mining, ocean, nuke industry, household appliances, etc.
